About Us

State of the Art
At St Heliers Dental Centre we stay right up to date with the latest dental technology and ensure the ongoing training of all our people. All our clinical staff are members of the New Zealand Dental Association, and we offer a full range of services.

Meet the Team:

Dr. Neil Dewar
B.Sc (Natal) HDE (Natal) BDS (Wits) NZDRE. C.O.P. Forensic Science. (Auck)

Prime interests:

Neil is interested in all aspects of dentistry and has travelled extensively around the world to improve his knowledge and techniques. With a special interest in orthodontics and advanced restorative and implant techniques, Neil has a particular focus on Cosmetic Dentistry. This builds on his long-standing involvement in amalgam-free dentistry and the safe removal and placement of all dental materials.

There are few, if any, dentists in New Zealand who have as many years of experience in the Cerec system of producing computerized ceramic dental restorations. Neil has studied further and holds a C.O.P. in Forensic Science as well as being a founding member of the New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the New Zealand Dentists Orthodontic Society. He also holds memberships of the American Association for Functional Orthodontics, the New Zealand Dental Association and Auckland Dental Association.
